Sherlock Holmes - The Woman in Green (1945)
Legendary dectective Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and his trusty sidekick Dr. John H. Watson (Nigel Bruce) are investigating a series of brutal murders, all of which are female and feature the victim's right hand thumb being hacked off. The trail leads to a secret society of hypnotists and a mystery glamaour woman. Holmes' nemesis, the evil Professor Moriarty (Henry Daniell) who was believed to have been hanged in Montevideo makes a reappearance, this time running a blackmail racket and somehow mixed in the murders.
