Unknown World (1951)
At the time that "Unknow World" debuted in theaters, the destruction of the human race due to nuclear war was a very real concern to the general public. Filmmakers used this fear to spin sensational tales that audiences readily swallowed. In this case, Professor Morley (Vicotor Kilian) is certain that the human race doesn't stand a chance according to what he sees around him. He concocts a plan to dig to the center of the Earth and seek heaven there from the imminent destruction. A good plot and dialogue will put off those looking for cheap thrills and laughs.
