The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)
Though showing its age, film historians, students, and mystery fans shouldn't miss this landmark political adventure-thriller that is a template for modern-day roller coaster ride films. "The Man Who Knew Too Much" is legendary director and master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock's debut film. A secret agent friend of a couple is shot while dancing with the couple's daughter. Before he dies, he warns them of an emminent murder plot to be carried in London in the near future. Their daughter is kidnapped by the would be assassins to keep the couple quiet. The couple decide to take matters into their hands and rescue their daughter themselves.
