Jamaica Inn (1939)
Alfred Hitchcock's "Jamaica Inn" is set on the island of Cornwall. It follows Mary, an orphan, who is moving to live with his aunt Patience and uncle Joss. Patience and Joss are the proprietors of Jamaica Inn. Mary soon discovers that the inn is the headquarters for a local band of pirates, led by Sir Humphrey Pengaitan, whom lure ships onto the rocks with false signals and proceed to plunder their cargo and kill the crews. Mary saves a man from lynching by the pirates who turns out to be an undercover police agent.
