Heidi (1937)
Living in the Alps with her strict Grandfather, Heidi (Shirley Temple) uses her charms to soften the old man. Then, she is abruptly kidnapped by her wicked Aunt and sold to a wealthy family. Heidi helps the invalid daughter of the family and is at last reunited with her Granddad. Considered one of Temple’s greatest performances, the story and its star are still charming.
