The George Burns & Gracie Allen Show (1950)
Gerge Burns and Gracie Allen had their start in vaudeville and radio where they performend their act. George, the cool comedian and Gracie his naive and absent minded wife. They would always end their show with their trademark exchange: "Say goodnight Gracie" to which she would reply, "Goodnight Gracie". In 1950 they made the successful transition to televison. Their show would start with George addressing the audience (he would do this throughout the show and was well received) and setting up the storyline. The show lasted until 1958 and produced close to 300 episodes cementing George Burns and Gracie Allen comedic celebrity. A timeless classic worth checking out!
