My Dear Secretary (1948)
Secretary Stephanie Gaylord (Laraine Day) with ambitions to become a writer is employed by renowned novelist Owen Waterbury (Kirk Douglas). Waterbury, a recalcitrant drinker and inveterate playboy, disillusions his new secretary, who subsequently quits, but not before the novelist falls in love with her. Charming comedy with good chemistry between Douglas and Day.
