Charade (1963)
Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) is about to divorce her husband when he mysteriously turns
up dead. Problem is that before that he converted all their assets to cash
and it has vanished. Now an assortment of figures are after the money,
which apparently was stolen, and assume that Regina knows its whereabouts.
To complicate matters, the idividuals after the money start turning up dead
one by one.

Trivia:
Originally the story was a screenplay which 7 studios passed on. Screenwriter Peter Stone
made the story into a novel whose popularity developed interest from the same 7 studios and
allowed "Charade" to be turned back into a screenplay.
