The Big Lift (1950)
"The Big Lift" is set in 1948 Germany following WWII. Except for the main actors, the majority of the cast in the film are armed force personnel. It has a biographical feel to it as it follows a couple of ficticious US Air Force sergeants, Sgt. Hank Kowalski (Paul Douglas) and Sgt. Danny McCullough (Montgomery Clift) experiences during the Berlin Airlifts. During the course of the story, Danny and Hank must face and overcome their prejudice towards Germans, remnants of WWII.
