Synopsis
A gangster using his boat to help loyalist escape with a fortune in gold from a revolution-ridden Caribbean island plans to kill them, steal the gold and blame the deaths on a legendary sea monster - unfortunately, a real monster turns up and starts doing his dirty work for him. In the end, the monster wins!
Trivia
After completing another film - The Last woman On Earth - director Roger Corman decided to stay on location for another week and shoot Creature From The Haunted Sea using the same cast and Crew. Oscar-winning Chinatown screenwriter Robert Towne, who appeared in several Corman pictures, is billed here as actor Edward Swain. The "creature" used in this film was made from
tennis balls, ping-pong balls, pipe cleaners and an oily cloth - costing a whopping $150!
