He swears he's definitely, positively, 100 percent still an item with his high-school sweetheart. But dark-and-handsome Pearl Harbor star Josh Hartnett is being seen all over L.A. with Kate Bosworth, the cutie from last summer's girl-surfer flick, Blue Crush.
A couple of Tinseltown insiders say Hartnett, 24, who co-stars as a rookie cop with Harrison Ford in Hollywood Homicide, and Bosworth, just 20, have been keeping their relationship under wraps.
Hartnett is said to be about to move in with his Minneapolis high-school sweetheart, Ellen Fenster. And Bosworth is officially dating The Lord of the Rings' Orlando Bloom, who's in Malta on a movie shoot. But witnesses say Hartnett and Bosworth had eyes only for each other once the cameras at the recent MTV Movie Awards were turned off.
"Josh kept away from Kate and even spent some time with Lucy Liu," one observer tells me. "But the minute the show was over, he hooked up with Kate right by the exit door. They talked for a while, then left in his limo." | | Kate Bosworth |

I wouldn't make much of this if, a couple weeks earlier, the two hadn't shown up together for a party at L.A.'s Conga Room club. There, however, bouncers turned Bosworth back because she can't legally drink liquor.
"Josh told Kate he was leaving with her," says a source on the scene, "but she told him to stay because he'd promised to meet Harrison Ford inside."
Bosworth's and Hartnett's handlers used the well-worn line: "Josh and Kate are just friends!"
