Academy Award winning actor James Coburn passed away this week, due to a heart attack, at age 74.

Academy Award winning actor James Coburn passed away this week, due to a heart attack, at age 74.

Coburn was at his Beverly Hills home with his wife, Paula, listening to music when the heart attack struck, according to his friend and business manager, Hillard Elkins.

Coburn is known for such films as "The Maginficent Seven," "Hell is For Heroes," "The Mangificent Seven," "The Great Escape" and "Our Man Flint."

"He was a hell of an actor," said Elkins. "He had a great sense of humor and those performances will be remembered for a very long time."
